The SHEA Water, Electric and Gas Passport training course designed by EUSR is ideal for anyone working in the utility sector. This EUSR SHEA Water, Electric and Gas course is a one-day course that you can use to obtain your EUSR card when successfully completed.
EUSR has designed this course to ensure that workers work to a good health and safety standard in line with HSE guidelines.
This course will teach you how to work safely on various utility sites and what your responsibilities are. With the knowledge you gain, you will work on site legally and competently, whilst keeping yourself and others safe.
If you are currently a supervisor, manager and operative working with gas and need the EUSR card to get on-site; then this SHEA course is ideal for you.
You will gain an in-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental issues affecting the gas industry that you can use in your workplace.
This Shea Gas Passport training course covers the following topics (for the full list of topics covered in this training, keep reading):
The National Water Hygiene (‘Blue Card’) scheme plays a vital part in ensuring the protection of public health and promoting good water hygiene practices. The scheme has been developed in collaboration with all UK water companies.
All UK water companies require individuals entering clean water sites or working on the clean water network – known as ‘Restricted Operations’, to hold a National Water Hygiene EUSR registration.
‘Restricted Operations’ includes working on service reservoirs, water pumping stations, water treatment works, wells, springs, boreholes as well as working on the network of water mains and service pipes.
It’s not just water company employees. If you are working on a ‘Restricted Operation’ on behalf of a water company subcontractor or other organisation, such as Self-Lay Organisation (SLOs) – then you need a National Water Hygiene EUSR registration.
Once you have successfully completed your National Water Hygiene training and assessment, you will understand the vital part you play in maintaining clean and safe drinking water and protecting public health. You will be issued with a National Water Hygiene EUSR photo ID card – which because of its blue colour, it’s also known as the ‘Blue Card’.
Assessment & Qualifications
Assessment is a multiple choice test paper.
Qualification is issued in the form of a virtual card. A headshot photograph, completed test paper and pre course questionnaire must be submitted for registration to occur. The registration and subsequent virtual card is produced by EUSR and lead times do vary. Registrations are visible on the online database within 72 hours.
